Timeform's Dubai expert has his attention firmly fixed on Meydan and he highlights three possible bets for you on Saturday...

The 16:00 is a race where the majority will have their stamina to prove but one horse who looks guaranteed to stay, and even improve for the longer trip, is Earl of Carrick who steps back into handicap company having won his maiden last time. It's fair to point out that it wasn't the strongest of races he won and he did take a while to warm to his task, a feature of most of his runs so far which lends weight to him handling this step up in trip. He's already shown he can go well off this mark when fifth to Blue Tiger's Eye on his penultimate start and he's basically the only one of these with any improvement left in him. 

Last Fighter isn't a very original choice in the 16:35 having won comfortably last time but he will take plenty of stopping and the fact a couple of his stablemates line up against him should ensure he is a bigger price than perhaps he might have been. He was having just his fourth start when running down Jamhoori here a couple of weeks ago, still having plenty of ground to make up inside the final 1f and whilst the runner-up was getting tired having gone clear early in the straight, Last Fighter was the only one to even get close to him. He has a brother to the smart Halicarnassus so has plenty of scope to progress further, this longer trip likely to see him in even better light. 

Nawwaar just has the maiden win to his name but did go close on a couple of occasions for John Dunlop and should be given the chance to build on a hugely encouraging debut for this yard in the 17:10. He was up with a strong pace throughout that day, even kicking a couple of lengths clear entering the straight before tiring to finish third. Hopefully he will improve fitness-wise for that run and whilst there is a chance he will prove better at shorter, he should get away with it round here and will be in the perfect place throughout from stall 1.
