How will they cope at Hexham?
All today's movers come from Hexham.
We start with the opener (12:40) where there has been a big drift on Fine Kingdom who is now trading at 2.47/5 having been matched at 1.758/11. Though more experienced than the competition, he's found it hard to win - with his last win on the flat coming in a selling handicap on quick ground off a mark of 50. All his rivals appear to be better flat horses and have good form on soft so another defeat looks likely
We go to the 13:40 now where there has been strong support for Willie Amos's Brieryhill Boy who's been backed from 5.69/2 in to 4.47/2. He ran a cracking race at 50/1 on his hurdles debut, he was just a bit keen and perhaps didn't get the trip. The form has worked out well however, with the third taking his subsequent race. He drops down to two miles today and having run to a similar level as the favourites in his last race, and with improvement looking highly likely, he's surely the best horse in the race.
Our final bet comes in the 14:10 where Hobb's Dream has been very well backed from 4.77/2 in to 3.8514/5 for Neil Mullholland. This gutsy mare needs a long trip and has been running on sharper tracks for her last few starts. She clearly has scope with her mark to win a race but since winning over 3m4f at Wincanton she's been dropped back in trip and it simply hasn't suited her. This 4m trip should be perfect and having won on soft-to-heavy three times she'll be very hard to beat.
