Follow The Money: Fox making plenty of Appeal at Kempton

Kempton is the venue for today's FTM picks

Today's Follow-The-Money selections are all running at this afternoon's card at Kempton...

The first race of the card at 13:00 involves this morning's market negative in Ransom Note having drifted from 1.845/6 out to 2.89/5. The 5yo tackles obstacles for the first time today and the Twiston-Davies trainer/jockey partnership will be hoping to continue the success the horse has had on the flat. However the market negativity suggests there is concern with the transition and that there are others that are more likely today such as Nicky Henderson's Golden Hoof.

In the National Hunt Novices hurdle at 13:30 Western King has been backed into 5.79/2 from 9.28/1. He could follow up his win over the same distance last time out in a decent race at Warwick where the Charlie Mann trained 5yo impressed. Today's race represents a stiffer test with a few others having leading claims but Jockey Gavin Sheehan's claim erases the penalty and the soft ground should work in his favour.

Our last selection is in a Handicap Hurdle at 14:40. Fox Appeal has been backed in from 11.010/1 to 8.27/1 suggesting that the Emma Lavelle trained 5yo will go well amongst a competitive field. He won twice over a three miles last season but the drop down in trip will mean he'll enjoy a keener gallop. If he jumps well then he could be a serious threat to Nicholls and Henderson trained market leaders who may have it all to do today.
