Timeform UK SmartPlays: Sunday December 2

Today's selections run on the all-weather at Kempton

With doubt surrounding Leicester's National Hunt fixture at the time of writing, today's SmartPlays come from Kempton's 'bumpers for jumpers' card...

Harry Fry enjoyed a bit of bumper success on Thursday when Oscar Rock won on the opening day of the Hennessy meeting, and his representative Henryville looks to have a good chance in the first race on the card here, the 13:30. He has had just the one start under rules, finishing third to Puffin Billy, who has since stamped himself as one of the most exciting prospects around, and Henryville looks sure to go well with the benefit of that experience behind him.

Cousin Khee (15:05) shaped noticeably well at Aintree last time, making smooth headway as they swung for home, looking as if he was going to pose a major threat. He couldn't sustain the run to the line, eventually fading back into third place, but it was certainly a promising effort and one which leaves him holding strong claims here. Should this race develop into a test of speed, Cousin Khee looks as if he may be able to benefit.

In the final race on the card, we will take a chance that the switch away from fences can see Dawn Commander in a better light. The Charlie Longsdon-trained grey was a useful novice hurdler last season, deemed up to running in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival, but he hasn't taken to fences as well as anticipated, jumping poorly on both starts over the larger obstacles. He looks to have been found a decent opportunity and, with his yard remaining in good form, could prove hard to beat.

Timeform SmartPlays:

Back Henryville @ 2.6413/8 in the 13:30
Back Cousin Khee @ 3.052/1 in the 15:05
Back Dawn Commander @ 4.94/1 in the 16:05
