Racing takes place at Thurles on Sunday.
The only meeting in Britain and Ireland today takes place at Thurles and our Irish team have postponed their Festive activities to bring you three win selections this afternoon...
Whiskey and Red (13:00) did well over hurdles this term prior to making successful switch back to fences here (2m) last month, proving 5 lengths too strong for Another Flutter. Rejuvenated since leaving the Paul Roche yard, although he's been hit with a 12 lb rise for that latest win, Whiskey and Red was competitive from similar marks to this over timber and may yet do better still for the Colin Bowe yard.
Midnight Game (13:30) is sure to be a strong favourite for the listed hurdle on the card, but looks overbet given what he's actually achieved over timber and Joxer could well cause an upset. William Harney's charge got off the mark in a Punchestown maiden hurdle in January and turned in a fine effort when runner-up in Down Royal Grade 2 on return last month. He didn't get the run of things in a competitive handicap at Fairyhouse on latest, finishing well from a poor position, and looks too big at 4.216/5.
Robert Tyner's Thats The Dream (15:00) looked like a winner waiting to happen when going down by the narrowest of margins on his handicap debut at Cork last time, just failing despite a bad mistake two out, and he pulled nineteen lengths clear with the winner Tipped Up Harry. Still totally unexposed after just the four starts, he looks to have a strong chance of going one better from just a 2 lb higher mark.
