Against All Odds: Bangor too short in the Welsh Premier League

Our focus is on Wales tonight

It's third v fourth in the Welsh Premier League tonight and Paul Robinson thinks Bangor City are too short for a side who have failed to win at home in their last two outings.

The goals came in Belgium giving us our third winner from four and it's taken us to an 11pt profit for the year after commission.

Bangor have dropped to third after picking up just a single point from their last two games. Last season's runners up do at least have games in hand over the two teams above them though so if they can get back to winning ways they are in good shape to have a serious tilt at the title.

Manager, Neville Powell, will be hoping his side can bounce back from the loss to TNS and the draw with Carmarthen Town, but he will be without the suspended, Liam Brownhill, who saw red last time. The Citizens are usually quite strong at home, but they are prone to the odd poor performance and they've actually won just two of their last five in the league at Nantporth.

Prestatyn are having a good campaign thus far and they are just two points behind tonight's opponents having played the same number of matches. A victory would see them move second, seven points off top spot but with a game in hand.

They also need to bounce back from a couple of poor results though, a 1-0 defeat at Port Talbot Town and a 5-2 hammering at home to Newtown. After having a woeful record on the road last term, The Seasiders have sorted things out this time around, avoiding defeat in five of their eight fixtures, winning three of them.

Bangor have to be considered the worthy favourites but they represent little value at around the 1.625/8 mark, and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
