Follow The Money: Correspondent backed to win today's War

It's jump action from Thurles for the FTM team today

Today's movers are all from the card at Thurles in Ireland as there is no racing in Britain today...

We start with the 13:00 handicap chase over three miles and Code Dancer from the Patrick Carey stable is showing some nice support into 9.89/1 from 21.020/1. She finished third behind two of today's rivals and is better off at the weights with them for that effort. She also finished ahead of Robertstown Rover who has won since and this maiden point to point winner looks sure to give a good account today at decent odds.

We move on to the 14:30 maiden hurdle over two miles and six furlongs and the market support for War Correspondent would suggest that the half-brother to War Of Attrition can get his head in front on his third attempt. He showed ability in point to points but has disappointed on his two previous tries under rules. This trip and the application of cheekpieces should help in his effort and the market support from 8.07/1 into 5.39/2 is encouraging.

Finally we go to the concluding race at 15:30 for the bumper and the day's negative and we will take a chance on Byerley Babe who is out to 6.611/2 from 5.14/1. With few short-priced negatives today, we are confident that this JP McManus owned mare will struggle against the favourite from the Willie Mullins yard and the nicely-bred It's High Time who have both been supported in the market. Byerley Babe was very disappointing on her racecourse debut only beating one home and although she improved for her next run over hurdles, the lack of market support here looks significant for her chances.
