Marseille have struggled at home of late
St Etienne travel to Marseille and the Betfair markets don't predict them getting anything, yet Paul Robinson thinks they can take something from the game as they are undefeated in seven on the road.
After the horror show that was Friday night, we bounced back with a winner in Belgium and I'm confident of getting another in France this evening.
Marseille are third in the league after picking up 35 points from their 19 fixtures to date. lie Baup's side were top of the pile but their form has tailed off after a fast start, winning just five of their last 12. It should be noted however that they've won three of their last four.
After recording three victories in their opening three matches at home, L'OM have won just one of their last five at Stade Vlodrome. The win came against a Lille side that were reduced to 10 men by half time and they lost their last two against Lyon and Lorient, conceding a total of seven goals.
St-Etienne have slipped to ninth in the table after failing to win in their last four. Christophe Galtier's men are suffering from injuries and suspensions and they haven't scored during that period.
The Greens have managed to avoid defeat on the road though; the latest 0-0 with Bordeaux stretching their unbeaten run away from Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to seven matches. That period includes a 2-1 win at PSG so they are capable of performing well against the top teams.
Marseille have been stuttering at home of late and I feel their price is too short at around the 1.875/6 mark against a St Etienne team who are solid away. At the prices, I have to make Marseille my lay of the day.
