Mats Hummels is being linked with a move to Manchester United...again
It has been a hard couple of weeks for transfer talk fans as we've heard nothing about Mats Hummels but fear not, he's back...!
Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with a move for highly-rated Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
With Steven Gerrard set to leave Anfield in the summer, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is currently on the look-out for reinforcements in the centre of the park and Roma's Miralem Pjanic is believed to be his number one target.
However, with the Giallorossi insisting he is not for sale, the Daily Mirror says the Merseysiders have now switched their attentions to Portuguese international Carvalho.
The 22-year-old was previously linked with a move to Arsenal but Liverpool could be set to swoop after sending scouts to watch him in Sporting's 3-0 defeat to Porto at the weekend.
Elsewhere it looks as though Manchester United's pursuit of Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels could be back on.
The World Cup winner has been linked with the Red Devils for some time but Dortmund have been understandably reluctant to sell arguably their best player.
However, according to the Metro, the Bundesliga outfit have started to plan for the possible departure of their skipper by scouting Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic.
With Savic expected to cost much less than the man he would replace, the famously well run German club could be willing to sell in a bid to turn a handsome profit and United would certainly have the funds to see the deal through.
In other news it appears that Chelsea will look to Belgium again in the summer, having scouted Anderlecht pair Youri Tielemans and Leander Dendoncker, reports the Daily Mail.
The Blues have not been afraid to search the country for young talent in the last few summers, signing the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne.
Teenage duo Tielemans and Dendoncker are believed to be amongst the brightest of the new stars to have been produced by the country and Chelsea are thought to be looking to complete a speedy deal which will likely see them spend next season back on loan with their current club.
Finally, and looking abroad, Schalke general manager Horst Heldt say they are hoping to make Matija Nastasic's loan move from Manchester City permanent in the summer.
The Serbian defender moved to Gelsenkirchen on a temporary deal in the summer after falling down the pecking order at the Etihad and has impressed on the left side of a three-man defence.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Die Konigsblauen boss Roberto Di Matteo now wants to sign him on a long-term contract and Heldt says the club are planning to speak to City about the deal.
