Even Stevens goes in the 15:50 at Southwell today
Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Kempton, Southwell and Exeter...
To kick things off we travel to Exeter for the 14:10 2m3f novice hurdle where Molon Labe has been extremely well backed in the market and having been trading out at 8.88/1 now stands at a very encouraging 5.24/1. He looked good when making a winning rules return in the Chepstow Handicap last month and he seems to like this course, and with favourite Samtheman on the drift Molon Labe could enjoy more success here once again at Chepstow
We then move to Kempton for the 15:00 1m2f maiden stakes where the early favourite Speed Boogie has been on the drift and is now trading at 2.915/8 having previously been at a healthy 2.35/4. With no horse in the field particularly showing they are anything out of the ordinary along with the threat of useful newcomer Gold Medal this race seems set to be a very open affair with no assurances this favourite will win.
Finally, we go to Southwell for the 15:50 5f handicap where well fancied Even Stevens has shown strong support in the market and now trades at 2.568/5 having been out at 3.052/1 earlier on. The short price seems to be justified as Even Stevens is a course specialist here at Southwell and looks set to run well once again on his favourite surface. With no other horse in the field suggesting it could cause an upset this well backed favourite will be hard to beat today.
