Saturday is the final day of Punchestown 2013.
Three win selections for the final day of the Punchestown Festival...
Star Neuville showed plenty starting out for Enda Bolger in Thursday's La Touche Cup, jumping and travelling well before stopping quickly. Having been capable of useful form both over hurdles and fences when in the care of John Hanlon, he is expected to last longer with that return him and can stamp himself down as a new force in these events with victory.
The demands of the Grand National course once again proved On His Own's undoing last time, but he's well worth another chance back over regulation fences in the 15:45. Still relatively unexposed over fences for this yard after just the four starts, On His Own has run out an easy winner of each of his completed starts for the champion trainer, and remains open to some improvement in staying chases.
Diakali has no Our Conor to contend with now and can provide the Willie Mullins team with another winner in the Champion 4-y-o hurdle at 17:00. Useful on the Flat, he was impressive when winning his first two starts over hurdles, and lost little in defeat behind Our Conor in Grade 1's the last twice. This looks easier and Diakali should make his breakthrough at this level.
