Wolverhampton Placepot: Tuesday December 4

Today's Placepot comes from Wolverhampton

Timeform's Tony McFadden brings you a Placepot permutation from Wolverhampton on Tuesday...

13:40- Fame Again has shown improved form of late, finishing in the frame on his last four starts. The fact he has won on both starts here registers as an undoubted positive and, although he steps up in trip, he has threatened to stay at least this far. One Scoop Or Two has also run well here before, including when winning over C&D in October, and is included as an insurance selection should Fame Again fail to fire.

14:10- Projectisle was impressive in first-time blinkers at Southwell last time, winning easily by 10 lengths. However, she is likely to be well supported and we will oppose her on polytrack debut with Sofi's Spirit and Lambert Pen. Both look fairly solid conveyances, particularly Sofi's Spirit, and they remain capable of better having had only the three starts apiece.

14:40- This contest looks like a bit of a match between Infortual and Spark of Genius. The former is open to the most progress having shaped well on her only start to date, but the fact she hasn't been seen on a racecourse for 304 days swings the balance in favour of Spark of Genius. James Toller's filly has improved on each of her last three starts and a reproduction of her latest effort when finishing second at Kempton should be good enough to see us progress.

15:10- Once again this could turn into a bit of a match as both Minimee and Prophets Pride shaped well on their only start and hail from top yards. Slight preference is for the latter who finished a decisive second on debut and was simply unfortunate to run into a potentially useful performer.

15:40- Chookie Hamilton and Thecornishcockney were both seen in winning action here yesterday, so there has to be a doubt as to whether they will be turned out again so soon. However, if they do turn up they should be difficult to keep out of the frame as they are both thriving at present, having won on their last two starts, and are difficult to oppose in their current vein of form.

16:10- A hint of promise can be taken from Zilzie's only two outings, still looking green as she carried her head awkwardly when finishing fifth here last time. The step up in trip should suit and, in a race that doesn't look the strongest on paper, Anne Duffield's maiden can go close.

Selections:
13:40- 2, 3
14:10- 1, 10
14:40- 8
15:10- 3
15:40- 4, 8
16:10- 10
