Dougal Philps developed into a fairly useful performer on the Flat this year, winning in July and running well when last seen on the level in September. That form is superior to that shown by main rival South South West on the level and, with his powerful yard continuing to fire in the winners, Dougal Philps is taken to make a winning start in this sphere.

Treat Yourself lines up in the 13:30 on the back of a much improved effort when landing a gamble in great style over C&D on his return last month. Arthur Moore's charge has been raised 11 lb for that effort, but Treat Yourself looked to have plenty in hand on that occasion and he promises to make another bold bid this afternoon.

Our final selection is another Willie Mullins hurdling debutant, as Mozoltov makes his eagerly awaited reappearance in the maiden hurdle at 14:05. Mozoltov showed smart form in bumpers last term, winning two of his five starts and matching the pick of his efforts when third to stablemate Champagne Fever in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown when last seen in April. He looks to have been found a good opportunity to make a winning reappearance and he looks worth supporting even at the likely short odds.
