Timeform Daily: Wednesday, Kempton 16:45

Kempton plays host to racing on Wednesday.

Timeform guide you through the 16:45 at Kempton, a handicap staged over two miles...

Spensley won 4 times here in 2010/11. Mostly respectable efforts of late, sticking to task when third to Into Wain over 1m here last time. Worth another try over this trip and likely to be thereabouts.

Woolfall Treasure has posted several good efforts without adding to tally since scoring at Salisbury in 2010. Ran poorly at that venue in October, however, and fared no better back hurdling since.

Tuscan Gold was a dual winner for Sir Mark Prescott in 2010, including over C&D. Showed he can still be competitive when fourth at Newbury in August and also ran well when third over hurdles here last month.

Icebuster is a strong traveller who is in better heart than his recent form figures suggest, not ideally place when seventh over 1m here last time. Won't be too far away if stamina holds up in trip.

Fourth Generation got his head back in front at Hamilton (9f) in May. Held form since, including hitting the frame on AW last 3 starts. Now tries 2m for first time and should be thereabouts if he sees it out.

Thecornishcockney has been revitalised by this headgear combination, breaking duck in 1m Wolverhampton maiden before following up in 2m handicap there last week. Penalty demands more but can't rule out in current vein.

Praxiteles won twice on turf last summer, but ran a shocker when last seen on Flat in August and left Rebecca Curtis prior to running poorly over hurdles on latest outing in September.

Tartan Jura improved for step up to 2m when scoring at Goodwood in October. In frame on AW twice since, second to Thecornishcockney last week. Weighted to reverse that form with blinkers now added.

Honourable Knight was successful 3 times over 1m on polytrack last winter and ran up to his very best when second of 12 to Gabrial's King in C&D handicap last month. No reason he won't give his running again.

Somemothersdohavem regained winning thread over C&D in September and went in again when defeating Gabrial's King at Wolverhampton last month. Behind that rival when only fifth over C&D since, though.

Reillys Daughter posted number of sound turf/AW efforts prior to getting off the mark over C&D in June. Third but beaten 9 lengths here later that month and has been sold cheaply since. 4 lb out of weights.

Big Time Billy was a useful bumper performer/fair hurdler for this yard who also made the frame twice in staying handicaps on Flat for Mike Hammond during summer. Has to race from 4 lb out of weights on AW bow, though.

Gabrial's King improved for fitting of cheekpieces, winning twice last month, idling in front and always in control when beating Honourable Knight length over C&D latest. Should go well again off 3 lb higher.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Icebuster
2. Tartan Jura
3. Gabrial's King

Timeform Verdict: Quite a few can be given a chance in what looks a competitive handicap. Icebuster has been better than the result a few times of late and it might be worth taking a chance on his stamina holding out up in trip. Tartan Jura and Gabrial's King are just a couple of the many dangers.
