Monday's Race of The Day comes from Kempton
Timeform take a look at this interesting handicap with their runner-by-runner guide...
Rustic Deacon registered fourth career win at Sandown (7f) in August and returned from break with fine third in C&D handicap. Not so good over 1m back here since, though.
Head of Steam won 3 times over sprint trips in France, and caught the eye on first go on polytrack in 6f Lingfield handicap last time, nearest finish. Stays 7f and interesting.
Good Authority is a dual polytrack scorer who resumed winning ways at Leicester (7f) in September. Good efforts last twice, would have benefited from stronger gallop last time, and ought to go well again.
Delft has won 3 times on polytrack and run well the last twice, beaten just length at Lingfield (7f) last time. Leading claims off just 1 lb higher.
Prince of Burma improved for fitting of blinkers to land a couple of 1m handicaps in January and was holding form before a poor effort here when last seen in July. Should continue to pay his way.
Irish Heartbeat's temperament has been called into question as his long losing run continues and his first run on AW over C&D last time was particularly poor. Headgear back on.
Shifting Star has been hit and miss since last win at Goodwood in May under this rider. Turn will come again, but hard to warm to after latest poor run here.
Haaf A Sixpence successful twice over 7f at Wolverhampton in short career and latest run easy to excuse (clipped heels and unseated rider 2f out). Unexposed and very much of interest.
Caldercruix registered second AW win at Southwell (6f) in March, and largely not discredited since. Dropping back towards tempting mark and returns from 3 months off.
Summerinthecity well treated on pick of his turf efforts but runs on polytrack in last year not been so great. Only second start for top yard, though, and no surprise to see him come good.
Fantasy Gladiator is 5 lb below mark he won off at Nottingham in October 2011, but record this year been patchy and he was merely plodding on here last time.
Roy The Boy cashed in sliding mark at Wolverhampton (7f) in August and held form well since, no match for unexposed winner there on Friday. Strong claims.
Atlantis Crossing won handicaps over C&D in May and at Wolverhampton in September. Fine placed efforts last twice but has another 4 lb rise to defy now.
George Baker was progressive when scoring 4 times in 2011 on turf and back to winning ways in 1m handicap here last month, well positioned. Circumstances unlikely to be as favourable this time.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Haaf A Sixpence
2. Roy The Boy
3. Delft
Timeform view: Haaf A Sixpence is still unexposed and could be worth following on the AW this winter. He can make a winning return at the expense of the thriving Roy The Boy and Delft.
