A couple of months ago, Wycombe were struggling a little but 3-1 up against Bristol Rovers, before the weather forced an abandonment. This, the restaged match, finds the Chairboys in good form. Had that first game finished, would they have gained the confidence to reap the results to keep Gary Waddock in a job? It is doubtful: they had the goals, after all. Since then, a youngster called Matt McClure has been given his chance by Gareth Ainsworth, the manager whose long hair makes him look like an old rocker who still thinks he can cut it with modern bands. Well, he can. At 39, he is still influential on the pitch - linking midfield and attack - and his impact off the field is starting to reap rewards.
Wanderers have six goals in their past two wins. Rotherham were shocked to lose 3-2 10 days ago, having led. Bristol Rovers ship goals at a worrying rate, about two a game, and have just one clean sheet. They have lost five of their last seven games. It will take a dramatic turnaround for a run of four straight league defeats to be reversed. In addition, only Barnet have a worse away goal difference, with Mark McGhee's side rarely scoring more than once a game on their travels. The side bet on over 2.5 goals is based on Wycombe's three each in their past two games, allows for their own holey defence and Rovers possibly scoring once.
McClure scored four times in his 21st birthday week. Ainsworth has made no attempt to hide him, signing his praises, and the Rovers' defence are unlikely to find any hiding place against him. Wycombe are the longest-priced home win of League Two's three games, which is something of a surprise.

This is another game in which goals seem likely. Dagenham have found their season's feet earlier than they did last season, when they really struggled after relegation. Hopes of a play-off places seem some way off and in all honesty they might lack some of the magic of the Paul Bensons who have gone on to greater things. They must overcome top scorer Dwight Gayle's loan exit to Peterborough, but seem to be doing all right in that regard, having seen off Fleetwood at Victoria Road last weekend. In any case they have Sam Williams and midfielder Luke Howell in decent touch with six apiece. On their last six away trips, they have scored two (or more) goals five times. But they don't always win and they have yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels.
Have Torquay turned the corner after a slump in form? Victory at York - a first in four games - came against a side who have been in poor form, making home win odds of 2.226/5 untempting. It will have given Danny Stevens confidence, however, that he can catch Rene Howe's 10 goals. Howe will want to rectify not scoring in six matches, having started to make a name for himself at the level this season, scoring in a club record seven league fixtures in a row. The result is hard to call. It is easier to point towards defences being kept busy in a high-scoring game.

John Coleman is determined that Rochdale can win automatic promotion. The Dale might not be the most fashionable of clubs - they spent a record 40 plus years in this division- and results might be somewhat hit and miss. But they are trying to poke into the top seven. Coleman's trick of finding hungry players brought him success at Accrington. He is repeating the trick. Bobby Grant, an old Stanley face who stepped up to Scunthorpe, has nine goals, and Terry Gornell seems to have a point to prove after leaving Shrewsbury. Rochdale suffered at in-form Southend last weekend but will see the chance to continue where they left off before that, with 11 points from five games. York lack belief, says manager Gary Mills, after a seven-game winless run.
