Home and Away: Back Lennon's Bhoys for last qualification spot

Parkhead will be rocking tonight.

Jonno Turner focuses on European competition this evening as the Champions League groupn stages come to an end.

We're off to Scotland for our first pick of the day - and Celtic welcome Spartak Moscow to Parkhead, still within touching distance of securing their place in the next round of the Champions League.

Neil Lennon's boys have enjoyed an impressive European campaign this year, beating group leaders Barcelona 2-1 at home being the highlight, and that run of positive results have left them sitting third in the group - level on points with second placed Benfica with just one game left to play.

But the Portuguese side must travel to the Nou Camp this evening, and all odds are against them securing any points in Spain, unless their hosts put out an under strength side with qualification already in the bag.

The Bhoys must win this game to give themselves the best chance of booking their place amongst Europe's elite - and Lennon will be desperate for his side not to miss that opportunity here.

Just two losses in 17 on their own patch underlines Celtic's dominance in front of their own fans - and four wins from five home outings in this competition shows just how well the Hoops have been performing in Europe this campaign.

Particularly pleasing to Lennon will be his sides two clean sheets from three home Champions League clashes - and that suggests that his side should be able to hold off the threat of their opponents this evening.

Spartak Moscow travel west having endured a torrid time in this competition - and have won just one of their opening five games in this mini league.

Valeriy Karpin's side have looked well below the necessary standard to compete at this level - and three losses on the bounce going into this one won't have done much for confidence in the away camp.

The visitors have shipped a whopping 12 goals in those games, and that suggests that Celtic should be able to take advantage of some slack defending tonight - a weakness that Karpin will be keen to correct.

But with Moscow already out of this competition, and cemented to the bottom of the group, you have to question their motivation in this tie - and with an important Russian Premier League clash on the with Kazan on the horizon next week, Karpin could rest some of his better players.

Celtic must win this game and I can't see Lennon letting his side become complacent in their quest for qualification - so I'm backing the home win here.

Staying in this competition, but over to Group H now - as Galatasaray travel to Sporting Braga, desperately seeking the win which will see them through to the second round.

The Turks currently sit second in the group, behind leaders Manchester United (who play third placed CFR Cluj at Old Trafford this evening) - and with the Romanian side breathing down their necks, and one game left to play, the Cimbom must get a result in Portugal to be sure of their place in the next stage.

They have certainly prepared well: four unbeaten going into this tie, and three wins in that time, will have Fatih Terim's side full of confidence.

But what is most impressive is their excellent away record, with three wins, and five unbeaten in a row on the road showing that this Gala side can perform away from the Turk Telecom Arena.

Gala have gone three Champions League games unbeaten ahead of this one, and a 3-1 away win at Cluj, coupled with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United, will have the visitors eyeing that place in the next round.

Hosts Sporting Braga have endured a miserable European campaign so far, and have lost four of their opening five games in this competition.

Jose Peseiro's side sit bottom of the group with just three points to their name, and have not won a Champions League tie on their own patch since 2010.

Domestically, the Arcebisops are going well - sitting third in the Primeira Liga - but they are already well behind the top two, and have lost their last two league games ahead of this one.

With the rest of the pack breathing down their necks in their home league, Braga may not be fully concentrated on this, which is something of a 'nothing' game to them.

Gala will know that Cluj are unlikely to leave Manchester with anything, but they need to win this game as insurance against a shock win or draw for the Romanians.

Bet 2: Galatasaray (AWAY) @ 2.54
