Follow The Money: Zaidpour proving popular with punters

Today's FTM selections are all running at Fairyhouse

Today's Follow The Money selections are all running at the Fairyhouse meeting...

Our first selection is a market negative and runs in the 12:35 at Fairyhouse. Our Conor has been eased out from 1.684/6 to 1.845/6 in this Juvenile Hurdle and while Bryan Coppers mount is considered a good prospect he may find todays opponents to be too strong. His win at Navan last time out was against very modest opposition where he made the most of the bottomless ground and todays firmer conditions may better-suit Stocktons Wing who won is good style last time out.

In the 13:05 at Fairyhouse Minsk has been considerably supported in from 5.14/1 to 3.814/5. Last year's impressive Cesarewitch winner won over hurdles for the first time last time out at Punchestown improving from runner up when last at Fairyhouse in February. Today is a definite step-up in class but this four-year-old trained by Des Hughes has plenty of scope for improvement and the market support certainly suggests a strong showing today.

In the 14:40 Grade 1 Hurdle Zaidpour has been supported in to 3.55/2 from a high of 4.216/5. After a disappointing showing at Cheltenham last season he has failed to get back to the winning ways of last winter when he won four on the trot - including a close victory over Voler La Vedette at Gowran Park. His last two races run in France in the summer can be excused as they were seemingly no more than run-outs against stable mate Thousand Stars. This six-year-old is a proven performer in Ireland and Ruby Walsh will be confident of getting this star of the Mullins yard back to winning ways.
