Against All Odds: Lay Zwolle for some extra dollar

Zwolle are finding it much harder this season

Zwolle are odds-on for their clash with VVV in Holland this evening but with six defeats in seven at home and a couple of injury concerns, Paul Robinson thinks the have to be opposed.

It's been a rough week or so for us after our spectacular run of 10 winners in a row but I'm confident of turning it round in December and finishing this month on a high today.

Zwolle were promoted to the top flight after storming to the Jupiler league title last term, however things haven't been as rosy this year. Art Langeler's side are 14th with 12 points from their opening 14 fixtures, with nine of those points coming on the road.

At their home of Jsseldelta Stadion, the Bluefingers have played seven, lost six and won one. Admittedly the victory did come in their last appearance there, however they were up against NAC Breda who are down in 15th.

A further worry for Zwolle backers is that they have a couple of injury concerns with midfielder, Giovanni Gravenbeek and defender, Bart van Hintum, likely to miss out.

VVV aren't exactly world beaters themselves but they've managed to hang around the Eredevisie for a few years now so they are capable of pulling out results when they need to. Tonight could be one of those times as they are struggling down in 17th place after picking up just 10 points from their opening 14 matches.

Ton Lokhoff's men started the season dreadfully with three draws and seven defeats, however they've since beaten AZ, Willem II and held Heerenveen last time out. The 2-1 victory at AZ was their first win on the road this year, but they've avoided defeat in 50% of their fixtures, with two of their three losses coming at Dutch heavyweights, Twente and Ajax.

This is a match featuring two poor sides but I don't think there's much between them on paper. Zwolle's match odds of 1.875/6 are just too short for me, and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
