Britain's Got Talent: Francine to keep up 100% record for favourites

Francine Lewis is a strong favourite to win tonight

The semi-finals are nearing a conclusion, and after three winning favourites on the spin, Mike Norman believes that 100% record will be maintained tonight courtesy of a quality impressionist...

We should all be millionaires this week. But sadly, I'm guessing we're not!

I started this year's Britain's Got Talent previews by telling you the golden rule of BGT betting - DO NOT oppose the favourites in the semi-finals.

What have I done? Opposed two out of the three favourites so far. And guess what's happened? Yes, the favourites have won every single night so far, and at some decent prices too.

Having said that it hasn't been all bad. Two of my four advised bets to date have won, at odds of 2.47/5 and 3.211/5, so we're in front to a level stakes strategy.

Last night's pick to win was a huge flop however. I seem to be putting the absolute mockers on these singers! Robbie Kennedy was second to perform, so instantly I feared the worst. And when someone who has a voice that sounds like Bryan Adams sings a Bryan Adams song, then you're asking for trouble.

It was a dreadful song choice, a poor performance, and we won't be seeing him again in a hurry.

Thankfully we were on good old Pre Skool in the to qualify market, and thankfully they made it. Both both they, and last night's winners Luminites are too fancied in the Outright Winner market at 60.059/1 and 12.011/1 respectively.

Tonight we'll see one of the strongest semi-final favourites of the week in Francine Lewis - available to back at just 1.68/13 in the Semi Final 4 Winner market - and she looks virtually unbeatable, not just because of her own decent act, but mainly because of the poor oppositon.

Lewis is an impressionist, and a good one to boot. I always feel that the key to a good impressionist is being able to be funny at the same time, afterall, what's funny about somone sounding like someone else?

Thankfully Lewis did incorporate comedy during her audition so the hope is that she will do so again. I can't see her getting beat tonight, especially if, as I suspect she will be, she performs late on the show, but she can't afford to have any mistakes so the pressure will definitely be on.

The only conceivable dangers to Lewis tonight ought to be Alex Keirl (4.67/2) and Asanda Jezile (8.07/1, both of whom are vocal acts.

Keirl performed an excellent high-toned rendition of the Les Misrables hit song Bring Him Home at his audition. It wasn't to everyone's liking, but it proved Keirl has an excellent voice and a repeat performance will see him poll plenty of votes.

Jezile is an 11-year-old Rihanna wannabe and performed a decent version of Diamond first time around. She is cute and likeable, but she's not fantastic and I can't see her winning.

But the youngsters have done brilliant this week, and I'm sure there'll be plenty of interest in Jezile in the To Quialify market, for which she is available to back at 3.02/1.
