Midnight Chase has previous form at Cheltenham
Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Cheltenham and Newmarket.
Our first pick of the day comes from Cheltenham in the 15:45 Handicap Chase where well-fancied Midnight Chase has been widely supported, trading at 5.95/1 having been out at 12.5n/a earlier on. With good Cheltenham form, including winning the Argento Chase last year, and all his best runs coming on good to soft or quicker today's conditions should suit him perfectly.
For our next selection we head to Newmarket where the very hotly tipped Toronado runs in the 16:05 Group 3 race. Having previously been at 2.01/1 in the market, the money has continued to be thrown behind him and he now trades at 1.758/11. This imposing three-year-old went unbeaten through a juvenile campaign which culminated in a defeat of Dundonnell in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster. Although he gives away 3lbs today, the step up to 1 mile should suit him and it's hard to look past him extending his unbeaten record in a four runner race.
Our final selection runs at Cheltenham, this time in the 18:00 Handicap Chase where Velator is on the drift from 2.588/5 out to 3.613/5. Although appearing to be the strong favourite still in the field, he was last out just a week ago and faces the ever improving Arbeo . This is no easy task and we think Velator is worth a lay today.
