Oscar Nominee won twice over hurdles last term and better still when third in 2m conditionals handicap at Cheltenham final start. Absent since and raised another 4 lb here, but still relatively unexposed.

Sametegal won at Enghien in April and made successful start for new yard in listed event at Wetherby in November. Bettered that when landing Musselburgh event earlier this month and may do better still.

Chesil Beach Boy thrived last term, landing hat-trick of 2m handicaps at Wincanton before good fifth in Imperial Cup, and has posted good efforts in handicaps this time around. Unlikely to be far away.

Meganisi gained second hurdles win at Newbury (2m) in November. Jumped poorly in Ascot Grade 2 next time, but cheekpieces worn there are quickly dispensed with and is the type to bounce back.

Home Run has really come good over hurdles recently, completing a five-timer at Musselburgh (2m) on New Year's Day and better still when second over C&D earlier this month. Will continue to give good account.

Barizan was a front-running Grade 1-winning juvenile hurdler before attitude took turn for worse. Won both completed chasing starts last term, but soundly beaten in two spins over hurdles this time around.

Timeform Verdict: Home Run's winning run came to an end last time, but he can quickly regain the winning thread. Sametegal looks a danger, while Chesil Beach Boy has been performing with credit this season and shouldn't be discounted.
