Donald McCain: Up And Go to bypass Cheltenham

Donald has scratched Up And Go from his Cheltenham entry this morning,

Donald has taken the exciting Up And Go out of the Neptune Investment Hurdle at next month's Cheltenham Festival.

Having spoken at length to owner Tim Leslie, I have taken Saturday's impressive Ascot winner Up And Go out of the Neptune Investment Hurdle at Cheltenham this morning.

He's a lovely young horse but we aren't sure that Cheltenham next month is in his best long-term interests. We will have a look at Aintree for him the following month but again, it wouldn't be guaranteed that he would line up there either. 

He's going to be a better horse next year when he can go over fences and hopefully being patient this year will benefit the horse in the long term.
