RPGTV host some top class actions this week
Eyes down for three top-class nights of live greyhound racing action on RPGTV (Channel 212) from 19:30 to 22:45 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday - and The Lord is over it all!
Kicking off at Hove on Thursday, and a tremendous card on the Sussex coast, topped off by Bridge Ruth back again after two impressive wins. But only the best again from the boxes will do, and Airlie Impact (21:40) can be expected to step up from his reappearance last week and keep the favourite up to her work.
Interestingly, Rockburst Pearl is a top class bitch making her comeback here and is a real player if not ring-rusty. She starts and stays well.
Guinness Dusty (20:18) moved well in a recent trial and has a touch of class about him, with some good four-bend form suggesting he will be strong over this sprint trip and could take advantage if Pams Tomjo can't get away from Murlens Crash.
Droopys Casspi (20:34) and Mottos Impact look likely to dominate over 475m, with the former's latest sprint victory perhaps just swinging it on the short run to the bend, while Joe The Law (21:06) might be another progressive Matt Dartnall-trained runner.
The latter steps up to open class after some decent wins of late at Swindon and has a prime draw here, likely to get first run on Guinness Spark.
Jaytee Hellcat (21:56), shaping as a Derby contender already for the Paul Young camp, looked top class in winning over C&D last week and looks perfectly drawn in his Hove return with chief rival Malbay Phanter likel to move off in the dash to the bend from three.
Young's Teejays Bluehawk (22:11) has also been touted as a Derby dog and ran a fast trial at Wimbledon recently. Hove plays to his strengths given its test of stamina, although pace inside and out will need to be handled with both Britania Richard and Bridge Bandit both capable of starting better.
Freedom Cache (22:26) ended a losing run at Henlow last time and will relish every single metre of the 695m here in his clash against the likes of King Lauchlan, Henry Jewel and Ballymac Pen.
Sharing the stage with Hove on Thursday is Henlow where the most likely winner is Westmead Shaw (20:26), who should get back on track if trapping and leading, unlike last week.
However, better value might be had with Swift Christina (21:15) who has a prime draw against the fence and every chance to lead in a race where the likes of top local Westmead Mustang might make the market.
Romford on Friday follows sister track Hove's lead with a terrific programme, with the appearance of Skate On (21:24) the headline grabber.
Liz McNair's bitch has been in scintillating form since her return to the track having been edged out by Droopys Hope in the bitches' Classic last year and should continue her fine run in the 400m final.
However, she needs to come away and clear fellow heat winner Slick Seamist before going on, although while the latter will head to the fence from four, trap five-boxed Skate On should keep a straightish line.
Guinness Smokie (19:31) needs to trap when this regular winner goes against in-form local Billymatt in the opening sprint but certainly represents value if managing to head off five into the turn.
Que Ouro (19:46) could be an interesting purchase for Michael Fawsitt having been snapped up by the trainer on the back of some solid Yarmouth form and catches the eye in a maiden 400m.
Droopys View (20:02) will relish the extra metres in the 575m maiden, while Sids Ninja's (20:18) switch to the outside catches the eye in a weaker race than he's been in of late.
A trappy hurdles race could be a match between relative novice Roses Rockin, well-drawn Lenson Teddy and Rebellious Cause (20:34). But it's the latter's solid Romford form that might win the day, despite the fact he returns from a layoff here.
Rio Minstrel (20:50) has been Glanmire Lad-esque in some of his wins and should have too much pace for his puppy rivals, while surely Sidaz Dippy has a winning opportunity in the 9.06pm over 575m after some staying-on efforts over shorter distances.
Four-bend race of the night, the final apart, is probably the 22:11 where Sharons Return's draw looks good to go, in a race where Millstreet Lar could hold up Nans Turbo unless the latter pings, while Romeo Patriot showed great pace at Crayford but didn't trap well there and Planning (22:26) might get first run in a real ding-donger over 575m.
Ayamzabeauty (22:40) catches the eye over trouble-prone Sakara Sky in a teasing 'lucky last'.
Sunderland shares the 'couch' with Romford on Friday with Wells Honour (19:54) looking set to follow up last week's impressive Newcastle win in the sprint. Another snappy exit should confirm the form over Mill Bullseye.
Jumeirah Bullet (21:15) caught the eye in the aforementioned sprint at Newcastle and the step up in trip might help her dominate, in a race where popular and in-form Come Fly With Me helping to make the market.
Saturday sees the staple weekend fix of Crayford and Newcastle.
