Follow The Money: Singer can Lord it at Sandown

Can Lord Singer lead them home?

Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Lingfield, Sandown and Warwick.

Our first race is the 14:00 at Lingfield where Fearless Lad has drifted from 2.8615/8 out to 4.3100/30. He has made a promising start to his career and would normally be heading the betting but it is hard to look beyond his main challenger today, King Bertie. His rival was unlucky not to get off the mark at the first attempt and is taken to get the better of our selection this afternoon.

The next selection is in the 14:20 at Sandown where Lord Singer has been steadily backed down to 4.47/2 from 6.611/2. Although it has been nearly two years since his sole chasing win, he has now finished in the top two in three of his last four starts. A particular highlight was his last run where he finished second to a progressive rival over course and distance in a higher grade contest. With his stable in good form it is easy to see why market confidence is so high.

In the 15:50 at Warwick, Dashing George has had strong support to move from 20.019/1 to 11.010/1. He won well off a lenient mark at Wetherby in January before following up again two runs later at Sandown despite an eight pound rise. He seemed to relish the give in the ground on those occasions and with similar conditions today he should go well. Another eight pound rise for his last success is offset by the booking of promising claimer Christopher Ward.
