Can Huddersfield give Warrington a scare?
Stuart Jones takes his weekly look at the Super League action covering a trio of games and starting with Friday night's meeting between Warrington and Huddersfield
Warrington Wolves vs Huddersfield Giants
Warrington's early season form has been rather patchy so far, and while they were easily able to overcome Salford last Friday, it's the two defeats they met with prior to that fixture that are most significant in the context of this game. Defeats to Hull KR and St Helens highlight that the Wolves are yet to really fire this season and being asked concede a 9.5pt start against an in-form team like Huddersfield looks too much.
Huddersfield's win over Hull last week ensured that they kept their spot at the top of the table and their loss to Bradford remains their only defeat of the season. Even under a relatively new coach, the Giants' early season form has been as strong as ever, and until there is evidence to suggest they are beginning to drop off, a 9.5 start against most sides will be hard to resist.

Wigan Warriors vs Widnes Vikings
The availability of Gareth Hock has sparked a tasty exchange between Shaun Wane and ex-Wigan star Dennis Betts ahead of their game on Saturday, with Betts unhappy that the terms of Hock's loan deal meant he was unavailable to play.
Betts's frustration will stem from knowing that with Kevin Brown already out, his Widnes side will be without another potential game winner. That along with the Vikings being without their first-choice centre partnership of Cameron Phelps and Stefan Marsh, is likely to prove their downfall.
Shaun Wane has selection problems himself after Gil Dudson was another prop forward added to a mounting injury list at the DW. The Warriors may well be light up front, but they are better equipped to deal with those personnel losses than the Vikings, and will be boosted by the return of Sam Tomkins.
Wigan's class should prevail, but getting a real stranglehold on the game without so many forwards will be tough, and with wintery conditions forecast, the safer bet looks to be siding with Widnes in receipt of a big start.

Hull KR vs Castleford Tigers
Neither of these sides covered themselves in glory in their most recent games, KR putting up little resistance against Bradford on Sunday, while the Tigers were turned over at home by London. The Robins' away form this term has left plenty to be desired, but they will take confidence from their home record. Since going down narrowly to Catalans on the opening day of the season, Kr have beaten Widnes and Warrington back at Craven Park.
Castleford are yet to win away from home and now sit joint-bottom of the league with Salford. Their star man Rangi Chase hasn't been at his best and he's the one that makes this Tigers side tick.
Cas look very opposable for the time being, and providing conditions aren't too filthy, then KR look capable of covering a 12.5 pt handicap.
