All eyes will be on Gareth Bale in this clash - but Luis Suarez might have something to say about that.
Jonno Turner previews Sundays' 4pm kick-off between Liverpool and Spurs, and picks out some value selections.
Two players for whom the papers seem to have run out of superlatives this season - Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez - come face to face at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, as Spurs travel to Liverpool, looking to cap off an incredible week for the London club.
Andre Villas-Boas' side built on an impressive 2-1 derby win over Arsenal by comfortably dismantling an Inter Milan side 3-0 at White Hart Lane on Thursday evening - and their boss will be keen to ensure that his side does not burn out in the race for domestic and continental glory.
That defeat of the Gunners made it 12 unbeaten in the Premier League for Spurs, and it is that consistency which has played a massive part in their climb into third place in the table.
The nature of their 3-0 first leg win against their Italian opponents means that Tottenham can approach their next meeting with Andrea Stramaccioni's side relatively relaxed - and they are now able to fully re-focus their attentions on their domestic campaign, with a massive encounter against Brendan Rodgers' side on the horizon.
The visitors are priced very reasonably at 4.216/5 for the win here - but a long week may have taken it out of them, and I think that the better value lies in the Spurs DRAW NO BET market, where they are available to back at 3.1511/5 for the three points - with added insurance against tiredness.
You would have to be living under a rock to have missed Gareth Bale's superb rise over the past few months - and the Welsh wizard could break club records if he notches in this clash, making it six consecutive games on the scoresheet.
He is 6.86/1 to break the deadlock first, or 2.727/4 to score anytime, and that seems to be the bet that keeps on giving.
Alternatively, Jermaine Defoe - who is expected to start in attack, is 3.259/4 to notch at any point - and central defender Jan Vertonghen is a whopping 9.28/1 to add to his goal against Inter, his third of the season.
Spurs go into this clash having kept just four clean sheets from their 14 Premier League outings away from White Hart Lane this campaign, and their recent games have certainly provided spectators with value for money. Over 2.5 goals would have paid out in their last three league clashes, and is available at 1.738/11 - decent odds, as Liverpool have smashed 12 goals in their last trio of outings.
The Reds have been resurgent since Christmas, and harbour real hopes of securing a top six place despite a disastrous start to the campaign.
Brendan Rodgers' side will be full of confidence following a 4-0 thrashing of Wigan Athletic last time out - and that victory saw hotshot Luis Suarez hit a hat-trick, taking his tally to 21 for the season.
Love him or loathe him - the Uruguayan has been a different class this year, and it doesn't bear thinking about where his side would be without his contribution over the last few months. He is 5.59/2 to open the scoring in this clash, and with the Anfield side having scored first in seven of their last 10 home outings, that could be worth a look.
There is no doubt that the hosts have looked comfortable in their last three clashes - but of those, they beat an under-strength Swansea side who had one eye on the Capital One Cup final 5-0, and secured a 3-1 Europa League victory against Zenit when the Russians already had one foot in the next round of the competition - so those results don't necessarily tell the full story.
Nevertheless, a Liverpool win in this clash 1.8910/11 would move them level on points with rivals Everton, who play in the FA Cup this weekend, and Rodgers will be desperate to heap the pressure on the blue half of the city, with just 10 league games remaining.
The man in the middle for this clash is Michael Oliver - and with 44 yellow and one red card dished out in his 17 games this season, I think we will see bookings in this clash.
Luis Suarez is the ninth most booked player in the top tier - and with home centre half Daniel Agger not far behind him in that table, it may be worth looking at Liverpool to be awarded the most warnings in the Bookings Match Bet market, at odds of 32/1 - especially if they are chasing a full-speed Gareth Bale.
