Monday's Race of The Day comes from Taunton
An interesting clash between useful sorts in this Class 3 novice chase...
Cantlow is a useful handicap hurdler (third in Pertemps Final at 2012 Festival) who has taken well to fences, off the mark at Plumpton 3 weeks ago. Extra trip will suit and major player.
Bobcatbilly just a fair maiden hurdler but has the size to make a chaser and also won a point in Ireland.
Dare Me was a smart bumper performer and won 2 novice hurdles in 2010. Left Philip Hobbs on the cheap but made a promising chase debut when second at Ludlow on return. Fell in Grade 2 at Ascot next time.
Dark Oasis was formerly a fair hurdler but has been out of sorts for a while now and others preferred.
Once In A Milan showed fairly useful form in Irish handicap hurdles at up to 3m last season for Robert Tyner. Has the ability to figure now chasing for new yard but shorter trip is a slight worry.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Cantlow
2. Dare Me
3. Once In A Milan
Timeform verdict: Cantlow can continue his progress over fences upped in trip and gets the vote ahead of Dare Me and One In A Milan.
