Jeremy Noseda's filly Delft was undoubtedly a disappointment at Kempton last time, finishing only ninth despite being sent off as the 2/1 favourite, but she had been in good heart prior to that effort, and can bounce back to form in the 15:30 at Lingfield. Delft had largely been steadily progressive, finishing a narrowly-beaten second on her penultimate outing in November, and the short break she has been given since the Kempton aberration might enable her to regain the upward trend.

Switching our attention to Kempton this evening, we hope that Poet's Prospect can get us off to a flying start by landing the opening fillies' maiden. Marco Botti's three-year-old failed to justify favouritism on debut, showing signs of inexperience as she was asked to make her effort, but there was plenty of encouragement to take from that initial run and she is capable of producing an improved effort here. Her chance is further bolstered by main market rival Special Meaning hailing from a yard currently struggling for winners, and this looks like a good opportunity for Poet's Prospect to register a first success.

Hat-trick seeking Sweet Liberta arrives here in good heart and has strong claims of landing the 19:30 at Kempton. Andrew Balding's filly took a while to shed her maiden tag, but, having got off the mark with a win here earlier in the month, she showed further improvement to score at Lingfield, defying a penalty with ease as she forged clear of her rivals. Sweet Liberta is clearly thriving at present and should launch a bold bid as she searches for win number three.
