Bishopsfurze is an error-prone gelding but has maintained a good strike-rate, making all in a minor event at Thurles switched back from chasing last time. Not harshly treated and must go close given a clear round.

Son Amix is a sueful, consistent and versatile type who broke losing streak when winning maiden chase at Punchestown on New Year's Eve last year. Recent hurdles outing likely to have him spot on for this.

Sole Witness' jumping has so often proved to be his achilles heel over fences, but put it all together to win at Navan last time by 4 lengths from Ballinahow Lady. Respected from 7 lb higher mark.

The Westener Boy created big impression when winning a maiden chase at Navan by 25 lengths from Marasonnien on penultimate start but then shaped as if amiss on latest.

Medical Card quickly made up into better chaser than hurdler, winning maiden at Limerick and Grade 2 at Naas last winter. However, no show on 3 most recent starts, including in the Troytown on latest.

Belle Brook is a fairly useful hurdler/chaser who ran as well as could be expected when fourth to Bog Warrior in minor hurdle at Punchestown returning from a break.

Glenquest seems to have been revived by the fitting of headgear, following up his Punchestwon win with a very good fourth to Colbert Station in the Paddy Power on latest. Blinkers back on.

Tullintain finished runner-up twice last term, including in this corresponding event. Showed much more than of late when chasing home Jack Absolute at Limerick last time, but handicapper may have his measure.

Jadanli was third in this race last year, but couple of recent efforts over marathon trips have lacked promise, and jumping still an issue.

Sumkindasuprstar was a multiple winner of handicap chases last season and creditable efforts when placed this term, 1 lengths third to Jack Absolute at Limerick (2m). Needs to bounce back from a rare poor effort.

Come To The Party looked as good as ever when successful twice over timber this season but let down by jumping back over fences at Cork and bit to prove now.

Panther Claw was a point winner who cost ¤120,000 and stepped up on his form in maiden chases when winning cosily at Punchestown on handicap debut. Far less exposed than most and may do better still.

Ros Brin benefited from switch to fences of late, winner of 15-runner maiden chase at Clonmel (2m). Hit hard by the handicapper as a result and well beaten at Naas on latest.

Tarquinius is in fine form, winning 3 of his last 5 starts, including at Fairyhouse (15f) when proving 2 lengths too strong for Shellys Creek. Dropped in trip and last of 4 finishers at Navan since.

Toon River is a fairly useful hurdler/chaser who ran creditably when second to Madam Bovary at Punchestown over fences last time. Work to do from opening handicap mark.

In Great Form improved performer last season, winning pair of handicap chases at Fairyhouse. Fifth in valuable 28-runner event at Leopardstown on penultimate outing, but then bitterly disappointing at Navan.

Outlaw Pete was set to score when running out in Cork National back in November and better than ever when winning cross-country race at Cheltenham last time by 7 lengths from Bostons Angel.

Murchu got off the mark over fences in Galway maiden in August and added to that in 29f handicap chase at Fairyhouse last month. Looked summed up my mark when third there on most recent outing.

Saoirse Dun has been progressive since switched to handicaps, winning 3 times in November/December, and then solid third to Rich Revival at Navan on latest. Not certain to relish a stamina test at 3m. RESERVE.

Boland's Corner was a dual winner over hurdles but hasn't looked a natural over fences and is just making up the numbers if he gets a run. RESERVE.

Timeform Verdict: Panther Claw boasts an upwardly mobile profile as a staying chaser and gets the nod in what is another competitive renewal of this valuable handicap. Outlaw Pete is in the form of his life and looks a big threat, whilst Bishopsfurze would have to go close if putting in a clear round. Son Amix looks to have been laid out for this and could go well at a bigger price.
