David brings you two bets from Wolverhampton
David Cleary has looked through the card at Wolverhampton and found two bets for you...
Given that the sporting world today offers Murray against Djokovic at the Australian Open, Hurricane Fly at Leopardstown, the prospect of some more FA Cup giant-killing, the world's most famous trotting race, the Prix d'Amerique, and Spain v Denmark in the final of the World Handball Championships (to mention just a few), it's understandable that Wolverhampton's additional jumpers' bumper meeting this afternoon may not be receiving much attention. However, there do appear to be a couple of interesting options on offer, so far as punting goes.
The 14.40 has an open look to it, with cases to be made for quite a few of the runners. Among those heading the market in the morning, Rysbrack has most going for him. He's got form on polytrack on the Flat proper and has shown a fair level of form despite a poor jumping technique over hurdles; however, he is a bit paceless and may well find one with a bit more speed than him in a finish this afternoon. That one could just be Have You Seen Me. He's got the best bumper form of any of these, though it's necessary to go back five years to find it. He's also shown better form over jumps by some way than his rivals, his performance when second in a novice handicap at Cheltenham in April 2011 well in advance of what most of his rivals today can do. Have You Seen Me was off after that until last month and although he was eventually pulled up in the big handicap chase at Cheltenham's International meeting, he showed he retains a lot of ability. Today's event offers Have You Seen Me much easier pickings.
The mares race at 16.20 doesn't look quite so competitive and may well concern chiefly One Lucky Lady, As I Am and Dreambrook Lady. As I Am comes into the reckoning on her bumper form but she may well want more of a test of stamina than she faces this afternoon. The other pair have shown a similar level of ability over hurdles but Dreambrook Lady's form is both slightly better and more solid. Dreambrook Lady is sometimes set too much to do but she looks the bet, certainly judged on morning odds.
Recommended Bets:
Back Have You Seen Me @ 10.09/1 in the 14.40 at Wolverhampton
Back Dreambrook Lady @ 6.5n/a in the 16.20 at Wolverhampton
