This man will probably be on the bench today
QPR are odds-on for their FA Cup fourth round clash with MK Dons, but with more important matches on the horizon, Paul Robinson thinks the hosts could take their eye off the ball.
Harry Redknapp has done well since he took over from Mark Hughes as manager and while they are still bottom of the league, they have at least closed the gap on the teams above them and are unbeaten in their last five in all competitions. They still aren't scoring many goals though and despite mew signing, Loic Remy, notching on his debut versus West Ham, I'm not convinced that he will start today.
Rangers' number one priority is survival this term and with a home match against Manchester City coming up on Tuesday, followed by another home game against Norwich next Saturday, I can't believe that Redknapp will pick a full strength line up for this one.
MK Dons are pushing for promotion to the Championship and although they've won just one of their last four in the league, they are still only three points adrift of the play-off places with two games in hand. They've already knocked out a higher ranked side in Sheffield Wednesday this year and while they were knocked out by QPR last season, it was a narrow 1-0 defeat and Rangers have regressed.
Away from Stadium MK, Karl Robinson's team are on a good run at the moment, losing just two of their last 11 in all competitions. They kept five clean sheets in that period and their solid defence could pose a problem for the toothless, QPR.
A QPR first team would probably deserve to be odds-on for this match but it's almost certain that the changes will be rung. MK Dons are a decent little side and I think they could be able to get a draw at least this afternoon. That's why at around the 1.768/11 mark, I have to make QPR my lay of the day.
