Pat Fenlon should get to celebrate a goal or two this evening
It's the Edinburgh derby in Scotland tonight and despite the Betfair markets predicting few goals, Paul Robinson thinks we could be in for a high scoring game.
Hearts are ninth in the SPL after picking up 25 points from their opening 20 fixtures. They will be looking to improve on that position and it should be quite possible as not only do they have a game or two in hand, the league is quite tight bar the top and bottom clubs. They would be higher already if they could just put the ball in the net a bit more often, as with 20 scored, only Dundee have netted fewer.
John McGlynn's side have been fine for the most part at home though. They've won four of their last six at Tynecastle Stadium, scoring two goals in three of the last five. The Jam Tarts can sometimes be a bit vulnerable at the back, highlighted by the fact that they conceded four at home to Celtic recently, and two against the lowly Ross County at the end of October.
Hibernian are having a fantastic season compared to last year's 11th place finish. Pat Fenlon's men are up in fourth place and if they win tonight they will go level on points with the second placed, Inverness. They picked up a confidence boosting victory over Celtic last time after losing three of their previous four.
As far as the goals go, Hibs' matches have been averaging 2.86 goals per 90 minutes so far this term, with 14 of their 21 games having had three or more. Away from Easter Road, eight of their 10 have gone over 2.5, with three of their last six actually going over 3.5.
While this match should be a hard fought contest, I can still see a few goals going in, so with under 2.5 trading around the 1.8810/11 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
