Timeform Irish SmartPlays: Summer to Star at Fairyhouse

It's the final day of Fairyhouse's Easter meeting this afternoon

Timeform's Irish team didn't enjoy much luck with their selections on Easter Monday, but they aim to bounce back on the final day of Fairyhouse's Easter meeting this afternoon...

Dogora has quickly made up into a fairly useful performer over hurdles, landing his first two starts (beating Dalasiri on the second occasion) and then taking a big step forward when chasing home the likeable Stocktons Wing in a Grade 2 novice over this course and distance last time. His main rival this afternoon looks to be his stablemate Djakadam, but Dogora remains open to further improvement and perhaps more significantly, Ruby Walsh has sided with him over his rival.

Summer Star was in danger of becoming frustrating earlier this term, but she has belatedly transferred useful bumper form to hurdles, finishing strongly from poor positions to land big-field handicaps at Leopardstown in February and March. The handicapper has not overreacted to those successes and, with the promise of more to come, Summer Star looks well up to completing her hat-trick this afternoon

Tammys Hill has an excellent strike-rate in points and hunter chases, and was a notable absentee from the Irish Foxhunters Chase challenge at Cheltenham, having previously met subsequent winner Salsify on three occasions this term and winning two of those encounters. He was reportedly amiss when second to Warne at this course last time and he looks to have been found a good opportunity to erase the disappointment of his Cheltenham absence.
