Richard Johnson will be aboard Woodford County at 15:00.
Timeform's Matt Gardner heads to Warwick for Sunday's crack at the Placepot...
14:00 - Hassadin is a solid and fairly consistent performer who goes well on soft ground, so he appeals as an ideal starting point in the opening leg. It is also worth including Bincombe, who has shaped well on both starts in handicaps, finishing third on both occasions, and the suspicion is that he has a bigger performance in him at some stage.
14:30 - Jacalou is an interesting contender but she hasn't been seen since January of 2012, so the best option is to side with Jackies Solitaire. The five-year-old improved on her most recent start, when third to Tetlami at Huntingdon, and she should stay this far, so she is a confident banker despite conceding weight all round.
15:00 - Uxizandre sets a fairly high standard but it is slightly disconcerting that connections have reached for cheekpieces on the back of one below-par effort, so we will take him on with the Philip Hobbs-trained Woodford County, who was purchased for 37,000 after winning an Irish point and made a promising start under Rules when scoring at Towcester in December.
15:30 - Several have questions to answer in this field so we are quite content in banking upon Shalambar, who represents the bang in form yard of Tony Carroll. The seven-year-old disappointed over timber after winning twice in handicaps in early 2011, but he scored on the all-weather last month and the visor that was in place for the first time that day is retained here, so he should go close.
16:00 - Neither Trigger The Light or Pettifour have much in hand from their current marks but they are at least fairly reliable and we ought to be safe if we select the pair. The first mentioned has an excellent record at this venue and will find this race easier than the Grand National Trial he contested last time whilst Pettifour, trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies, has twice finished second in staying handicap chases this term and looks to hold solid claims of making the places once more.
16:30 - This seems likely to develop into a match between Silverburn and Bold Addition and, with two places on offer, we need to take only one of them. Bold Addition is the selection, as he boasts a fitness advantage over his adversary and won well on his debut in this sphere at Sandown last month.
