Naas hosts competitive national hunt action this afternoon.
Timeform's Irish team warm up for the Cheltenham Festival by highlighting three win selections at this afternoon's meeting at Naas...
Zuzka displayed a useful level of form when winning both her starts in bumpers and she has quickly made up into a useful performer over hurdles, impressively landing Grade 3 events at Limerick and Leopardstown either side of a good third to Jezki in the Royal Bond in December. Today's contest is by no means a penalty kick and she needs to bounce back from a laboured effort last time, but she sets a good standard on the pick of her form and will prove hard to beat if running up to her best.
Smart Money finished runner-up both starts in points and, having shown signs of ability in maiden hurdles, landed a bit of a gamble when winning a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle last month by a head from Quartetto. He showed further progress when third to Corbally in a novice event at the same course last time and, with the step up in trip likely to bring about more improvement, he looks worth supporting to come out on top this afternoon.
Rich Revival is very lightly raced for a 9-y-o, but he has been quickly making up for lost time over fences this season, making it two wins from as many starts when landing a handicap at Navan by a head from Fever Pitch last month. Rich Revival has gone up 7 lb for that success, but he remains unexposed in this sphere and will be suited by the step back up to three miles.
