Timeform's Irish team bring you three bets from Gowran Park

It is Tetratema day at Gowran and we have picked out three more SmartPlays...

Lughnasa looked a bright prospect when justifying some good support on her debut in a bumper at Cork last season and she can add to that success in the Great Oak maiden hurdle at 14:35. She produced a promising first effort over hurdles when second to Midnight Oil (pair well clear) at the same track in January and was booked for second when falling two out in the race won by Sarabad at Clonmel last time. She doesn't have to carry a penalty for her bumper win in this contest and she should have too much speed for the likes of Golden Plan and Notimetoserve.
 
Lead Kindly Light has found one too good on both of her runs over hurdles this season but is taken to go one better in the Goresbridge handicap hurdle at 15:10. She was unlucky to bump into the progressive Speckled Wood at Clonmel last Thursday, but there doesn't appear to be anything of that calibre in this field and it is significant that connections are turning out Lead Kindly Light again so quickly as she is due to go up a further 3 lb in future handicaps.
 
Mossey Joe looked a very exciting prospect when winning his first three starts over fences, but things haven't really gone according to plan after a fall at the Punchestown Festival last season and he looks worth opposing in the Tetratema Cup at 17:05. He was well below form over both hurdles and fences earlier this season and his jumping, which has long been a cause for concern, let him down again at Leopardstown last time. All in all, he has plenty to prove at present and isn't one to take a short price about.
