The juvenile handicap hurdle at 15:25 sees several horses starting out in handicap company on attractive marks, most notably the Nicky Henderson-trained filly Little Dutch Girl. Having finished in the frame on her first three outings over hurdles, Little Dutch Girl took advantage of a good opportunity at Taunton last time, justifying short-priced favouritism with ease as she drew clear to register a seventeen-length success. Fairly useful on the Flat when in the care of Clive Cox, Little Dutch Girl remains open to improvement in this sphere and can provide her powerful yard with another victory.

Plenty of old favourites have been declared in what seems like a veterans' chase rich on quality, and the Gary Moore-trained Fruity O'Rooney appears to have strong claims of gaining a deserved success in the 16:40. A genuine performer, Fruity O'Rooney comes here on the back of a creditable effort at the Cheltenham Festival, finishing fifth in the JLT handicap chase, once again showing a willing attitude. Although a competitive race of its type, this should offer an easier task for Gary Moore's charge than a Festival handicap and he may prove difficult to peg back with the sound underfoot surface likely to suit.

The step up in trip to three miles looks sure to play into the hands of Sin Bin and he is taken to come out on top in the 17:10. A dual bumper winner, Sin Bin has shaped with plenty of promise in three starts over hurdles, twice managing to finish second despite looking as if he needs further than two and a half miles. Paul Nicholls has given his inexperienced seven-year-old a bit of a break since his most recent start, where he finished a creditable second in a jumpers' bumper at Wolverhampton in January, and it would be little surprise to see a significantly improved performance with the step up in trip, switch to handicap company and better ground all factors which could contribute to a better effort.
