To Donny we go
The 2013 flat season begins today at Doncaster and that is where you'll find all three of Friday's Follow The Money selections...
We start in the 13:25 where Vodka Time has seen solid support, coming in from 13.3n/a to 5.79/2. He's a half-brother to four-time winner Barista, who importantly had a victory at as a two-year-old. Given Vodka Time's trainer David Evans has been known to ready a newcomer, the market support is significant. With jockey Adam Kirby boasting a 28% win rate for the stable this year, you can see why Betfair customers are backing Vodka Time to get his flat season started with a victory
Moving onto the 15:00, Red Tyke has seen some support, coming in to 4.1n/a from 5.21n/a. John Quinn's runner has been mixing it up over the jumps and flat for his last six runs, being successful over both. He comes into this race after a solid fourth over hurdles a fortnight ago, so should be race-fit. With all three flat wins coming on going ranging form good-to-soft to heavy, there looks every chance he'll be right in the finish today.
We find today's drifter in the 16:45 in the form of Munhamer who is friendless in the market, going from 3.02/1 out to 3.9n/a. John Gosden's runner was a 160,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, and the yard has sent out two wide-margin winners of this race the past few years. Given these factors, the lack of support in the market is a big worry, so he might be one to avoid until we can see what potential he has after today's run.
