Racing Post Greyhound TV: Three nights of top-class action

Hove is the venue of some top-class action tonight

Sit back and enjoy, weather and frost-permitting, three nights of top-class greyhound racing on RPGTV (Channel 212) from 19:15 to 22:45, starting Tonight with Henlow and Hove. The Lord previews the action...

Starting at Hove, Forest Dot (20:02) continues to run well and her favourite draw inside could see her take some holding if coming away in the bitches' race, with Jaytee Cuba, who bolted home here last week and timewise has a massive chance, making the market.

Rayvin Again (20:50) showed good pace at Henlow last time after impressing over this trip previously and could get first run out wide, although one who might be over-priced here is Bonamassa Buddy, who has plenty of ability and lots of back-straight pace.

Droopys Aki (21:06) ran a cracker behind a good winner last week and could build on that here, especially with any trouble behind in a race where Benkaat Blue looks the biggest danger, while Forest Mollie (21:24) ran a cracking trial and has form in the highest class recently and could strike in the maiden.

Your A Champ (21:40) is among the top sprinters just now and may again spoil the party for backers of Guinness Smokie if keeping tabs with them from the traps in a cracking two-bender, while Loughteen Blanco (21:56) is Derby class so may not be seen for dust if pacing up into the turn over 475m. Any mistakes, however, would let in Malbay Phanter after some decent sprint trials.

One of the best bets of the night could be Castlebride Dan (22:11) who could reverse form with Ask Patsy and Larrikin if coming away better than he did last week, while Ayamzabeauty (22:26) blew up behind a good winner last week but has scope for improvement as she continues her comeback.

At Henlow, two bets stand out.

They are Joscar (20:26), who returns after a short break and will improve for a recent trial and has shaped well in top four-bend contests, so much so that the extra distance might well suit.

And Brave The Times (21:32) is a Henlow specialist with a cracking burst of early, moderate breakers inside and every chance of making all.

On to tomorrow, and it's Coronation Cup semi-final night at Romford and a chance for the cream to rise to the top in three red-hot heats over 575m, with Bansha Mo (21:06) looking increasingly like a contender for the title itself.

The Sheffield raider is trapping well now at a track she's running well, too, and looks to have drawn the easier of the three qualifiers and should make hay again, perhaps at the chief expense of well-drawn Aghaburren Paddy, who can qualify for next Friday's final.

The first semi at 20:34 looks set for an inside-fest with early-paced Seals Babe smashing the lids at Romford just now and set to make all, although expect big gains from comeback kid Be Real, who will get stronger for last week's return.

Lemon Velvet (20:50) ran a cracker in the heats last week with a mix of speed and stamina, and will improve after running off a couple of times, which cost her ground. The draw looks good to strike at the expense of earlybird Ardkill Star.

A cracking card at the London Road venue is supported by the Puppy final, in which Rio Minstrel (21:24) might just get first run on Droopys Felton in a battle of the midfield dynamos, with the former's turn of foot impressing all the while.

The bitches' contest earlier is a cracker, too, with Sequential (20:18) getting the vote despite her preference for the rails, while Sharons Return (22:26) looked a shade unlucky in a better race last week and might be tough to hold from the rails.

Saturday's RPGTV action is spiced by a good card at Crayford and Airforce Newyork (20:34) could be a contender for outright honours in the Golden Jacket and might be tough to hold from the rails in this trial stakes, with a solid enough 500m run at Sittingbourne suggesting a big effort here.

And it might be that kennelmate Airforce Frankie (21:24) is the best bet of the night when he goes from red after a good second here over 540m last week.
