Against All Odds: Terrible price about The Terrors

The Tannadice faithful haven't seen their side win at home since August

Dundee United host Kilmarnock tonight in the SPL and while the Betfair market has them at a shade of odds-on, Paul Robinson thinks their recent home form doesn't merit a price that short.

Dundee United are eighth in the league after picking up 16 points from their opening 12 fixtures. The Terrors were on a four match unbeaten run before their defeat to top of the table, Hibernian, last time out and they will be hoping to bounce straight back in front of their own fans.

The United faithful haven't seen their team win at Tannadice Park since August though. Since their victory over arch rivals, Dundee, Peter Houston's men have played five, drawn three and lost two, albeit one of those defeats was on penalties in the League Cup.

Kilmarnock are two places and two points ahead of their opponents this evening, however they have played a game more. Kenny Shiels has his side in pretty decent nick at present; winning two of their last three, including a mightily impressive 2-0 victory at Celtic.

Killie have done well on their travels this season; avoiding defeat in four of their half dozen league fixtures, winning two of them. They did get thumped in this fixture last year though, however they are in better form now and did beat Dundee United the last time they met back in August.

This match seems hard to call on paper, so with Dundee United trading around the 1.9720/21 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
