Timeform take a look at a fascinating mile and a quarter handicap at Lingfield on Monday...

Mia's Boy is not in quite the same form as he was this time last year but handicapper has cut him a bit of slack and he wasn't discredited when fourth at Wolverhampton last time. Has a rare try beyond 1m here.

Robin Hoods Bay is a strong traveller who is well suited to this surface and got back to winning ways over 9.5f at Wolverhampton last month. Shaped well when neck second over C&D since and should go close again.

Bancnuanaheirann is an ex-Jim Bolger inmate who has run plenty of good races since joining this yard, including fourth in the Cambridgeshire. Stiff task in C&D listed event last time and this more realistic.

Layline returned to winning ways over 11.5f at Yarmouth in October. Disappointing at Redcar since but has always been better on this surface and on a fair mark if anywhere near his best.

Shamir is a polytrack specialist who gained fifth career success over 1m at Kempton in September. Found revised mark beyond him since, though, and has yet to prove he truly stays this far.

Hill Street made promising start to his career earlier in year, merely having to be pushed out to beat Viewpoint 3 lengths in 1m maiden here in May. Not seen since but has obvious potential for better still.

Viewpoint was no match for Hill Street in 1m maiden here earlier in year but has improved since, winning a 1m Nottingham maiden in October and good second over 1m at Kempton last week.

Trois Vallees is a lightly-raced colt who returned from 5 months off to make a winning start for James Tate over 8.6f at Wolverhampton last month. This a stronger race but unexposed and may have more to give.

Timeform Verdict: An interesting contest. Viewpoint, Robin Hoods Bay and Trois Vallees should all go well, but if there's a blot on the handicap here it's surely the returning Hill Street, who had Viewpoint in behind him when readily landing a 1m maiden here in May.
