Premier League Tips: Delia to be served another home win

Hopefully Delia won't come on to the pitch at half time

Four winners from six last week netted a profit and the in-form Paul Robinson looks to continue that success this weekend. Here are his Premier League Fixed Odds selections:

Newcastle v Man City
Back the draw @ 3.8 (14/5)
Back a 1-1 correct score @ 7.5 (13/2)

Manchester City suffered their first league defeat of the season last week and Newcastle also lost, but I think the spoils will be shared this time.

The 3-2 loss at home to Man United has left Roberto Mancini under pressure as his side are now six points adrift of their bitter rivals and already out of Europe. The Italian has made some strange decisions of late, with the regular rotation of his strikers perhaps being the most odd when it is clear to all and sundry that Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez are his best pairing.

City were dealt a further blow when skipper, Vincent Kompany, limped out of the derby and he must now rate as a doubt for the trip to the North East. The Citizen's may well still be unbeaten on the road this term, but they've won just three of seven, with late goals required to earn two of those victories.

Newcastle are suffering this season; Europa League matches to contend with, injuries and suspensions, and just greater expectations in general. The defeat at Fulham on Monday was their fifth in their last half dozen Premier League games. Papiss Cisse has offered nothing this year and it's been left to Demba Ba to score the goals for the Geordies.

These two could both do with a confidence and morale boosting victory but with so many players out of form for either side, I think the value is on the draw, with a correct score of 1-1 tempting me at 7.5 (13/2)

Norwich v Wigan
Back Norwich @ 2.1 (11/10)
Back Under 2.5 goals @ 1.85 (17/20)

The Canaries fans who were singing for Chris Hughton to be sacked have soon changed their tune as the former Birmingham boss has his side on a nine game unbeaten run in the league and I'm taking them to pick up yet another victory against Wigan on Saturday.

Norwich were many peoples favourite to go down this year but they are riding high in 12th place, a mere four points off the Champions League places. The key to their success has been built from the back as since the 4-1 pasting at Chelsea, they have kept four clean sheets, including ones against Arsenal and Manchester United.

Wigan have been hit by injuries and suspensions to their team, especially at the back, and it's just one victory in six for Roberto Martinez. Scoring goals away from home has been a problem - four in seven - and while they do play some good football, they do lack a cutting edge at times. The Latics are hovering just above the relegation zone in 17th and I think it could prove to be another long, hard campaign for them, despite some early promise.

Delia Smith has been treated to four wins on the bounce at Carrow Road and I'm quite confident that Norwich will cook up a fifth against Wigan. It will probably be low scoring though so 1.85 (17/20) about Under 2.5 goals looks tasty.

Stoke v Everton
Back Everton @ 2.37 (11/8)
Back Over 2.5 goals @ 2.2 (6/5)

Everton travel to fortress Britannia on the back of a last gasp victory over Tottenham and I think they are decent value to follow up at Stoke.

The Toffees were having a bit of a sticky time of things until the win over Spurs as before that they'd won just one of the previous nine. While they had only lost one of those, seven draws in matches they'd mostly dominated would have been hard to swallow for David Moyes. No wonder he was so elated then as Nikica Jelavi returned to goal scoring form with the winner on Sunday. The Croatian might not offer much to the all round play of the team, but he comes alive in the box and when he's in form, there aren't many better poachers.

Stoke are enjoying things again after a run of six undefeated has lifted them to ninth in the league. They may not be pretty on the eye but they are hard to score against and even harder to beat. I do have slight concerns about their back four this week though as Ryan Shotton's red card at Villa means he will miss out, and the Potters are already short of full backs due to Marc Wilson's injury.

Everton have played some fantastic football this season, often without getting the job done. They will take confidence from last week's victory though and I think they are a good bet to make it back to back wins. Over 2.5 goals looks overpriced to me at 2.2 (6/5) as the Merseysiders play quite an open game and Stoke are missing a couple of defenders.
