Premier League Results: Villa rock Anfield with 11-1 win

Belgian international Christian Benteke did the damage for Aston Villa

Liverpool are backed at just 1.364/11 to beat Aston Villa but receive a shock as Paul Lambert's men land a big upset win

Aston Villa pulled off the shock of the day with a stunning 3-1 win at Liverpool that saw bets matched at enormous prices.

The Claret and Blues were backed at 12.5n/a to simply win the game while the home side traded as short as 1.364/11 to take all three points. And there were bigger prices matched in-play as the shock played out - the 0-2 halftime score was backed at a gigantic 110.0109/1!

Villa's danger man was Christian Benteke, who scored twice to reward backers of a brace or more for the Belgian at 36.035/1. The Midlands club are 5.24/1 to finish the season in the top half of the table.

There were no shocks at Old Trafford where Manchester United made short work of Sunderland, scoring three times and conceding once, to maintain their six point lead at the top of the table. United, who are 1.68/13 to win the title, stay six points ahead of rivals Manchester City who beat Newcastle in the early kick-off. The defending champions are 3.259/4 to overhaul United.

But the real drama happened at the bottom of the table where QPR finally won a Premier League at the 17th time of asking to leapfrog Reading at the bottom.

West London rivals Fulham were the visitors to Loftus Road and, after a goalless first-half, Rangers' talisman Adel Taarabt took matters into his own hands with a stunning brace. A late Mladen Petric goal had the home fans sweating but QPR rode out the final few minutes to delight Harry Redknapp and a capacity crowd.
