Heading into a big weekend on a winning note is always satisfying but sifting the probables from the possibles over jumps this Thursday is tough.

Today's long list is made up of Ballyoliver (Ludlow 14.00), Drumshambo (Ludlow 14.30), Spirit of Shankly (Ludlow 15.00), Midnight Oscar (Ludlow 15.30), Savant Bleu (Taunton 14.10), The Romford Pele (Taunton 14.40) and Hare In A Round (Taunton 16.10).

And, having examined the Betfair markets, the short list consists of Drumshambo, Savant Bleu and Hare In A Round.

Drumshambo is well treated on his best hurdling form and has conditions to suit in a winnable handicap, while Savant Bleu ran very well until falling at the last in a much better race at Bangor and will be tough to beat if he avoids error this time.

Rebecca Curtis and AP McCoy continue to enjoy a fine strike rate together and Hare In A Round looks the nap of the day for Taunton's finale having caught the eye travelling powerfully in a fair race on his Worcester debut.
