Timeform Racing Radio Tips: Ruby to be crowned at Huntingdon

Ruby Crown can win for Kim Bailey

David Cleary brings you a selection from Huntingdon and Sedgefield on Tuesday...

Three bread-and-butter jumps cards provide the fare this afternoon, and it may well be a quiet one on the betting front. Sedgefield's 13.50 may well have a bet in it, but a fair bit depends on whether yesterday's Southwell scorer Oscar Leney runs again.

In the meantime, Ruby Crown in the mares handicap hurdle at 15.10 at Huntingdon has more going for her than the morning prices suggest. She's the pick of the weights on the form of her penultimate run and, having been off five months after that, was entitled to need the run last time. Her stable is finding its stride after a slow spell and conditions should be fine for her.

The best race of the day, the 15.20 at Sedgefield, looks competitive but it may be worth chancing Corkage, who is well treated on the best of last season's form. He ran poorly on his return from a break last autumn, but he was without headgear that day and has blinkers on this afternoon. That could well be significant, given Corkage comes from a stable in good form at the moment.

Recommended Bets:

Back Ruby Crown @ 5.59/2 in the 15.10 at Huntingdon
Back Corkage @ 11.010/1 in the 15.20 at Sedgefield
