Villa celebrate on the stroke of half time but later let slip a two goal lead
Tonight's late kick-off didin't disappoint when it came to entertainment, Manchester United coming from behind to take the points at Villa Park and guarantee a bumper payout for Lee Dixon followers...
Manchester United have shortened to 2.186/5 to win the Premier League title after coming from two goals down at Villa Park to move four points clear in the league table.
Villa started much the brighter and looked very dangerous in the early stages as United took time to find their feet, but it wasn't until the stroke of half time that Paul Lambert's men made the breakthrough. Christian Benteke muscled his way past the returning Chris Smalling and played a lovely ball into the path of Andreas Weimann who fired home past David De Gea.
Weimann was matched at 50.049/1 in the First Goalscorer market, whilst the Half Time Draw was backed at a low of 1.031/33 In-Play.
United were expected to come out fast in the second half but it was Villa who stretched their lead, that man Weimann getting his second of the night after turning home a Gabby Agbonlahor cross.
The home side hit a low of 1.364/11 to win the game but there was a sense of inevitability that United would get back into it; and that's exactly what they did on the hour mark when substitute Javier Hernandez somehow scrambled the ball home from inside the box.
And just five minutes later Sir Alex Ferguson's men were level when a Hernandez shot was turned into his own net by Villa defender Ron Vlaar.
Both sides had chances to win the game, Weimann seeing his header brilliantly saved whilst at the other end Robin van Persie was having his own game of cross-bar challenge; the Dutchman hitting the woodwork twice within a minute.
But it was Hernandez that eventually scored the winner, the in-form striker heading home a wonderfully whipped in Van Persie free-kick with just minutes remaining.
Man United hit a high of 11.5n/a to win the game when they trailed 2-0, whilst the 2-3 Correct Score was matched at a high of 85.084/1.
But the result wasn't just great news for United, it was also a fantastic result for Lee Dixon and his followers. The Betfair Ambassador recommended three bets in the game, one being Over 3.5 Goals at 2.767/4, and another being Villa/Man Utd in the HT/FT market at a hugely rewarding 26.025/1.
