Against All Odds: Sweden and England to entertain us

It's cap one for Sterling and cap 100 for Gerrard tonight

England travel to Sweden for an international friendly tonight and with an attacking line up already announced for the Three Lions, Paul Robinson thinks there will be plenty of goals.

After a pretty poor run of things during October, we've quietly bounced back and we're going for our seventh winner in a row today.

This is Sweden's first match since their amazing comeback in Germany last month. The Swede's were down and out at 4-0 but four goals in the last half hour earned them a crucial point in their quest to qualify for Brazil 2012.

Erik Hamrn doesn't have too many star names to call on anymore, but he does have a certain, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been in top form for PSG. Not only does he score goals, he sets them up too, and in his last Champions League match he achieved a tournament record of four assists in a single game.

The Swede's have had plenty of high scoring matches recently; eight of their last 11 going over 2.5, including a five goal thriller with tonight's opponents during Euro 2012.

England come into this match unbeaten in normal time for 11 games now and as it's a friendly, Roy Hodgson has let the press know his starting line up. While he has named Danny Welbeck as a lone striker, he won't be short of numbers from midfield as all of the midfield five are better at going forward than they are at defending.

Raheem Sterling and Ashley Young will provide the pace down the flanks and there will sure be plenty of overlaps from two of the most attacking full backs in England - Johnson and Baines. Michael Carrick hasn't been picked so there is no recognised holding midfielder and the two centre halves could be left exposed at times.

Three of England's last five have seen three goals or more, so combined with Sweden's goal stats and the players taking the field, under 2.5 goals seems much too short at 1.855/6, and that's why I'm making it my lay of the day.

Recommended Bet
Lay Under 2.5 goals in Sweden v England @ 1.855/6
