Wednesday's big meeting comes from Caulfield
Timeform Australia pick out three bets on Wednesday's top-class card.
The Thousand Guineas is the highlight at Caulfield on Wednesday. It does look down on recent years but it is certainly a competitive renewal and the support card throws up a couple of good opportunities to build the bank before Cup Day on Saturday.
The Bart Cummings stable is always one to keep safe at this time of year and Divine Moon who lines up in the BMW Handicap (13:45) is one heading in the right direction.
Plenty to like about his last start effort in the Stan Fox Stakes which rates to win this and he should be only further improved now. The $4.10 currently on offer looks a good play.
Free Wheeling looks very well placed in Race 5 (15:00) as he kicks off what we fancy will be his best campaign yet.
Form in the back half of his latest campaign makes for good reading against this lot and his recent trial win suggested he has come back in good order. He's trading at $4.20 at present and we would want to be with him at that price.
The Race-Tech Classic (16:20) sees Stocks Stakes winner Oasis Bloom rating some 5lbs clear of her nearest rival and with more upside than most.
Form out of that Stocks Stakes has been given plenty of big boosts in the month since and with conditions in her favour today she should prove too good.
The $3.15 on offer looks very generous for a mare that we have marked in the red.
