Match Odds
Waldemar Fornalik's Poland have a home win and an away draw from two qualifiers so far, and their reserve team won a friendly against South Africa on Friday, but England are odds-on to take all three points back to Albion.
Roy Hodgson's reign is ten games old and the team is still unbeaten in 90 minutes, even though the coach's project is hardly complete. Terry and Ashley Cole might have misbehaved their way out of the side, so the progress should quicken, but Rooney must adjust to a new position, while Wilshere gets better and better the less he plays.
Lampard and Gerrard are at least burying that old question by never being fit and unsuspended at the same time: the Chelsea man has recently been ruled out of this match, along with clubmate Bertrand and fallen flyer Walcott.
Thank goodness it's only Poland, the team that went home way too early from their own party in the summer. And that's was back when they had all of those Borussia Dortmund players full of form and confidence.
Captain Blaszczykowski and his ally on the right, Piszczek, are doubtful for this game, while striker Lewandowski has scored only three times in his last 12 appearances for club and country. The probable absence of Arsenal stopper Szczesny would also seriously reduce the consonant count.
The rest of the squad looked mediocre to a man at Euro 2012 and, with England's price now touching evens, they are the bet.
Over/Under Goals
Set aside the frivolous wins over Moldova and San Marino, and Hodgson's England have kept 6/8 Under 2.5 Goals. Defence is the coach's priority - always has been - and, away from home, there's little reason to think the Three Lions will do anything more daring than launch Oxlade-Chamberlain on the occasional counter-attack.
Poland hadn't played a competitive game for years before the summer's European Championships. Since then, 4/5 have stayed Under 2.5 Goals.
Whether it's Jermain Defoe, who scored in a World Cup qualifier in Poland eight years ago, or Danny Welbeck who leads the line, England are unlikely to run rampant and the numbers justify Under 2.5 Goals and its 1.758/11 favouritism.
Asian Handicap
Going back to 2007, the margin of victory in 10/10 England wins in away qualifiers has been at least a couple of goals. It's only for the supremely confident - because those wins have been against far worse teams than Poland - but England -1.5 should become available at something beyond 3.55/2.
Correct Score
England are hardly infallible at the back - remember the lapses that granted Sweden a couple of goals in the summer - but 0-1 (7.06/1) and even 0-2 (10.09/1) are plausible outcomes on Tuesday. And they are, of course, the only two results that tally with both an England win and Under 2.5 Goals.
